Emmy Awards 2011 nomination

La 63^ edizione degli Emmy Awards si è svolta al Nokia Theatre di Los Angeles domenica 18 settembre e in diretta per noi su Sky Uno (canale 109) nella notte tra il 18 e 19 settembre dall'1.00 con il red carpet, commentato da Martina Riva e Francesco Castelnuovo, seguito dalla cerimonia della premiazione, che come ogni anno assegna gli Oscar della tv americana alle migliori produzioni del piccolo schermo.
Pioggia di nomination in testa:

"Mildred Pierce" 21 nomination, intensa miniserie targata HBO con Kate Winslet e Melissa Leo, che noi qui in Italia potremmo vedere su Sky Cinema dal 14 ottobre.

"Mad Man" 19 nomination, serie-capolavoro sui fascinosi pubblicitari anni '60, trasmessa in Italia sui canali Fox e già premiata con 13 statuette nelle scorse tre edizioni.

"Boardwalk Empire" 18 nomination, gangster story targata HBO, prodotta da Martin Scorsese e interpretata da uno straordinario Steve Buscemi.

"Game of Thrones" 13 nomination, epica e spettacolare serie fantasy tratta dai libri di George R.R. Martin, Cronache del ghiaccio e del fuoco, attesissima qui in Italia che vedremo però solo a fine ottobre/novembre 2011 su Sky Cinema 1.

" 30 Rock" 13 nomination, serie comica, con Tina Fey e Alec Baldwin, su Sky Uno in arrivo la 5° stagione.

"The Kennedys" 10 nomination, mini serie molto discussa, trasmessa in Italia in anteprima su History Channel.

"Modern Family" 17 nomination la famiglia più anticonvenzionale  della tv, in onda su FOX.

"Too big to fail" 11 nomination, prodotto da HBO, cruda ricostruzione della crisi finanziaria del 2008 e del fallimento del colosso Lehman Brothers, diretta dal premio Oscar Curtis Hanson (L.A. Confidential) e con un cast straordinario (Bill Pullman, William Hurt, Paul Giamatti, Cynthia Nixon e James Wood). In arrivo in autunno su Sky Cinema.

"Cinema Verite" 9 nomination, il sensazionale film di HBO con Diane Lane, Tim Robbins e James Gandolfini, che ripercorre il dietro le quinte del docu-reality di PBS "An American Family" che negli anni 70 fece clamore come primo esempio di televisione - verità. In onda a ottobre su Sky Cinema.

"I pilastri della terra" 7 nomination, miniserie tratta dal best seller di Ken Follett, prodotta da Ridley e Tony Scott con uno straordinario Donald Sutherland nel cast, trasmessa in esclusiva da Sky Cinema nell'autunno 2010.

"Glee"  12 nomination, che con i suoi "sfigati" più amati della tv è candidata come miglior serie, in onda

" Saturday Night Live" 16 nomination

"Downton Abbey (MasterPiece)" 11 nomination
